One month old!

So one of these days I will get around to posting something other than baby pictures...but right now I'm busy treasuring these precious days. She is growing so quickly!

hehe! Love this impish face expression!

Her outfit says it, so loved.

Weekend Highlights

Grandpa & Grandma Beasley meeting Arianna!

The guys and their walking sticks -- on a short hike on the Appalachian trail.

Guess who slept the whole time? [smile]

We made it to the top of Raven's Rock!

After waiting for over two months to find out the California Bar Exam results, it was with great excitement that we read the news that Dan had passed!! The passing rate for February was only 42.2%. Whew. Have I mentioned yet that this was one tough exam? And that I am so proud of my man?

It was such a blessing how the Lord worked out the details enabling Dan's family to be here to rejoice with us. And they brought this HUGE butterscotch chip cookie to celebrate!

Dan and his two girls -- so, so happy!!

On Saturday the family headed into DC to see the sights!
(Arianna and I stayed home as we weren't up to a big day in the city -- and enjoyed hearing stories and seeing pictures upon their return!)

Arianna and Uncle Stephen

Sunday found us touring the Gettysburg battlefield.

Arianna having a conversation with Uncle Phillip.

And  she is sleeping again!

The weekend flew by waaaay too fast. Thankfully it'll only be a month before we see everyone again -- spending time with family is such a precious gift!

He did it!!

Last night the bar results were posted online...  and with great suspense Dan logged in to see if his name was listed.

It was with great excitement and joy that he read the following:

Praise the Lord!

Talk about 'jumping-on-the-bed' kind of news. [grin]

We are both so grateful for your support and prayers and covet continued prayer as Dan begins searching for a new job and also as we prepare to move sometime next month.

And now I'm off to rejoice with my amazing man (oh! I'm so proud of him!) -- and his wonderful family who are here visiting this weekend. Let the celebration continue!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Hives and Mother's Day

My blog has been quieter than I planned. I mean -- with world's cutest baby living at my house, how can I not post oodles and oodles of pictures?

But my wonderful new world of mommyhood was rudely interrupted by an onslaught of hives last week. Thankfully, they have now left me alone, but for several days even my hands were so broken out that anytime I touched cloth or went to hold my precious daughter, the blankets irritated my skin and made them so hot and itchy. Not cool, especially when all I want to do is cuddle with my lil' girl!

If only I could have found a verse somewhere that reads: "Rejoice always -- unless you've been inflicted with an outbreak of hives right after having a baby" to justify my complaining.  But no such luck. Many thanks to my patient husband for taking care of me and enduring some long days and nights!

Two weeks old
Isn't she a doll?

and many thanks to the Fleming girls for crocheting this adorable hat for Arianna, as well as the other adorable items they sent for her!

Yesterday was Mother's Day.
And Dan gave me the best gift! After Arianna had a rough-- I mean shorter night Saturday night, she was wide awake and ready to play early Sunday morning. The dashing man who lives at my house took her for a walk and let this mommy sleep in and get over an hour of extra sleep! And that may not sound like much, but any extra sleep is wonderful these days. [grin] Amazing daddy! Grateful mommy.

Mother's Day smiles!

Who has God placed in your life that you are thankful for today?

One week

I've been enjoying these newborn days to the fullest -- with lots of cuddling and just savoring these precious days. Arianna is a very expressive baby and continually amuses Dan and I with her many faces! I'm still amazed that she is finally here and that I'm the mommy of this adorable lil' girl!
