...every 10.68 minutes...

After getting my new camera a little over three months ago, I was in China for seven weeks. Upon coming home, I had three weddings to photograph, along with a host of other things. My camera's records showed some amazing facts:

In 92 days, I took 12,408 pictures.

Which is one picture every 10.68 minutes.

24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

From June 20 - September 20.

If a picture is worth a thousand words,
how many books do you think I've written by now?!?

wow Bethany...this is quite amazing!! You definitely have been an inspiration to me in photography - keep up the work of taking pictures for the glory of God!!

I thought that I'd taken a lot of pictures when I've taken over 8,000 in 1 year! I best get to snapping that shutter a little more often I guess!!

Those are some amazing facts that you shared...how fun to think of it all!! :) And maybe we'll get to see over 1% of those pictures?? *grin*

This was a very fun post!

Love you!!!

Shooting photos is the fun part--it's sorting through them that can be monotonous and overwhelming. I don't envy you with 12,000 photos to manage! May your time at the computer be just as rewarding as your time behind the camera!

All I can say is "wow!"

...And "Thank you for sharing some of those pictures!" You do lovely work. God has blessed you with a talent, and it's wonderful that you use it for His glory.

I work in publishing and I have a very puzzle-oriented mind, and I couldn’t resist trying to answer your rhetorical question.
12,408 pictures at a value of 1,000 words apiece comes out to 12,408,000 words. The average manuscript page contains roughly 500 words (typed, double-spaced), so we're looking at roughly 24,816 manuscript pages. Translating that to published book pages is tricky because the conversion varies based on the trim size (physical dimensions) of the book, but assuming 8 1/2" x 11" trim it's about 2.5 manuscript pages per printed page, or 9926.4 printed pages. Assuming that 300 pages comprise a decent-sized book, you've written around 33 books in 3 months. Very impressive!
I never get tired of seeing your beautiful photos. Thank you for posting them.

WOW! That's quite a track record, Bethany! Even more, with Kate's comment above, you could be the only wordless authoress!!
Does this mean you qualify for entry into the "Ripley's Believe it of not" book? or maybe "GUiness Book of World Records"?
You are certainly a "SPECIAL" young lady!!
