NCHEA: random smiles

Ruth watching the drama with her team

:: the sound technicians -- Josiah and our cousin Nicole ::

Esther -- the amazing cook!

One of the biggest surprises....on Thursday night after all the training was over, we had a little recreation time of volleyball and basketball. During basketball, one of the star actors in the drama came down on someone else and twisted his ankle wrong, making a huge bruise and causing it to swell BADLY. Though there were a lot of questions as to 'what now', the drama team quickly revamped a few of the scenes, Franz used crutches for the whole drama, and the show continued!

Matthias -- my favorit-ist bad guy

Team Pisa -- I had such a great group of assistants and kids!

Boys will be...boys!

The staff
"Never trust a skinny cook!"

Alaythia with the drama director

Matthias leading games

A smile from Holland!
City Dump Award (or was that a penalty?!)

Italians forever!!!!

Stephen teaching during a small group session

Andrew was a team leader over a whole boys team -- 18 of them, to be exact!

The tired, tired team leader/photographer.

But what a wonderful weekend! I am already looking forward to next year... [grin]

Every scroll I dreaded the post being over! Great job! Thanks SO much for sharing!!!
Is there any kind of website or something for the NCHEA?? I'd love to check it out! I love children and would love to maybe someday participate in some kind of children's ministry. Is it just for the elementary school children, or?? I know NE is far from us, but still... ;) Whoops, didn't mean to ramble...LOL!

Thanks for all the photography Bethany! The weekend flew by so fast it's nice to be able to recap a little!!!

P.S. - How do you choose which pictures to put on, I mean out of 900 (give or take more than 12) that has to take awhile. Let's hope you're not indecisive : )

Thanks, Bethany! I always love to look at the pictures afterwards, it brings back fun memories and helps you to see a little of what else went on besides in your little classroom! This was really and energy pumped conference, and as evidenced by the photos, it appears to have been a contest of who enjoyed themselves more, the staff or the kids! Thanks for sharing! Emily

Wow! You guys worked hard! Looks like an amazing time. Think of the impact you are making on hundreds of children with these long hours and spent energy. I can't think of any better way to spend one's youth. You guys inspire me!
