I'm excited!

I just returned from the post office to drop off my application form to the Institute of Photographic Studies! You see, I've been praying and hoping that someday I would be able to attend the course "Prizewinning Photography," and am so thrilled that Course 28 (which will be held April 13-18th in Dallas Texas), is being held during a time when our family minsitry schedule will allow me to go.

And I'm just curious -- might any of my blog readers be attending?

I'm so happy for you! I've had several friends take the course--they learned SO much. At this point, I'd have to say its only in my dreams that I would get to go this year. :-)

God bless!!

I'm delighted you're getting to go, Bethany! My sister took Prizewinning Photography last fall and really enjoyed it. I'm hoping to take both PWP I and PWP II in July in DC.

Hello Bethany,

I am going to be taking this course at a different location this summer. I took a two-day course through IPS with a couple of the instructors a few years ago, you are really going to enjoy it!
Did you make it through the whole NYIP course?

Bethany said...

Yes, I did end up completeing NYIP, Sarah. Though I learned alot, I am really looking forward to IPS, mainly to hear about photography from the Christian perspective instead of with all the junk the world throws out.

I guess you know how much I would have loved to be there...but distance is distance...

In my case it's "practice makes perfect"...other than that...

You really are a master of photography...and getting better!

I have a question for you about this photography course-

What does your family do while you are in the class?

I am hoping to get in this year, but we will see! :)

Our family won't be singing that week, and my sister Ruth will also be taking a different course during that week...we are looking forward to it! :)

Hello, again, Bethany. I was reading through some of your older blog posts today when I came across this one about you attending IPS's PWP. How neat to hear! Both my mom and I were excited to learn at IPS 4 years ago this spring. I agree with you that it will great for you to be learning from Christian photographers from a Christian worldview. Being there really encouraged me with my photography! Now when spring is in the air, it brings back memories, and I wish I could go again to glean even more.

Have fun!:)

On a side note, does your family ministry make it out to the VA area very often? It would be wonderful to hear you all singing. It was interesting to find out about your family through Morgan Guiley's link.
