My little sweetheart

Where did you come from baby dear?
Out of the everywhere, into the here.

Where did you get your eyes so blue?
Out of the sky when I came through.

What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by.

What makes your cheek like a warm, white rose?
Something better than anyone knows.

Where did you get that pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.

How did they all just come to be you?
God thought about me and so I grew.

But how did you come to us Baby Dear?
God thought of you, and so I am here.

-George MacDonald

Oh, how sweet! We have a lullaby cd that is those words to music! I don't know if it was originally writtten as a song, but that is the only way I've heard it. My, how she is growing so quickly!

I really like that poem. I'd heard the first part of it before, but never the rest of it. I like how you put the baby pictures with it. She is so precious!

I found your blog through Bryant's.

So fun to hear from you all!

G&G -- thanks for signing in -- we miss you!

And after so many of you mention listening to this with music, I'm curious to hear it!

Miriam -- thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web and leaving a note! I always enjoy finding out who is all reading this blog!

Mindy -- EllaGrace's comments made the whole family laugh! Thank you! (And Charissa's favorite food is milk, too! :)

Morgan -- my camera is a Nikon D70, (a digital single lense reflex camera). I have had it almost two years now, and have thoroughly enjoyed it! It has the automatic settings for when all the manuel settings seemed way to complicated, but I have enjoyed digging in deeper to understand how they all work! If you want more technical info on it, check out: This website has tons of information on every digital camera possible! (And if you have any more questions, feel free to ask!)

Britt -- I'll be sure to kiss her for you. (Don't you want me to hold her for an hour, too? :) I'm miss'n you, too!

Thanks a bunch, Bethany! I have a Konica Minolta A200 that I just love, but it's starting to give me some problems so I'm "kinda" in the market for a new one. :) I'm wanting one that will take good pictures in low light (which is something that mine doesn't do), and yours looks like it does that really well. (The picture of the feet is an example--not really low light, but still nice and clear for the 'soft light'.)

Thanks for sharing! :)

OH, how sweet. I can't believe how fast she's growing. Her little cheeks are all filled out and that last picture of her smiling is so cute! It's sweet when they start getting their little personalities. :)

My name is Christna and I found your blog last week, I think through Simpe Grace's. I love your pictures and I just wanted to join the camera discussion. I just got a Canon Rebel xti. I absolutely love it and it is an awesome camera. Quite the switch from my dad's point and shoot. Have you ever hear of the Institute of Photgraphic Studies (IPS)?

Hello Christina! Thanks for visiting my little corner of the web! Yes -- I have heard of IPS, and I would enjoy being able to attend someday. I know there is so much I could learn! Have you ever gone? I'd love to hear more about it if you have!
