God alone satisfies

"Who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?
God is my strength and power,
He makes my way perfect..."
II Samuel 22:32-33

There are no disappointments to those whose wills are buried in the will of God.

Just what I needed to hear. Having our will buried in Christ's - isn't that what delighting in the Lord is all about? Thanks for the challenge! That one's going in my journal!

Great post, Bethany! I absolutely LOVE the picture? How and where did you take it?

The picture is one I took back in August -- those flowers aren't blooming around here anymore!

Thanks for your comments everyone! It is always a delight when you check in. Blessings to you all! (And happy December!)

That is precisely what my family needs to hear today. We had a storm snow on our plans. God has a plan, and He works everything for our good.

so true... thanks, dear friend, for the always timely reminder! i agree with elizabeth - God has such a great and awesome plan, He is always, always! good and right! now the trick is submitting completely to Him - burying our will in his.. so poetically put!
thanks again!

That is a good quote from Faber. Although sometimes it is difficult to accept until we get below our surface feelings.

Hope your performances and stay at Burlington & Calvary were rewarding (and fun). Wanted to get over to the Sunday service but our church schedules didn't work out this year. With all of the people you see I'm sure you didn't miss two more. But I missed seeing you and your family. It's always special to see the Wissmann's perform and minister.

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. And that you get your deepest wish for Christmas.

By the way, I really like your new journal picture.

Alway wishing you the best and praying for you.

Richard, your OTF

(If you get this twice, my keyboard went out I think and I had to re-do it. If not, never mind)
