In the garden

The things that matter most in life
aren't things.

Doesn't this look like an old-fashioned watercolor picture? It is one I took yesterday; then enhanced with some effects with my Grandma's picture program. It reminds me of what I've hearn' tell of in the yester-years --

Enjoying the simple pleasure in life.

Going barefoot in the garden...fresh, sun-warmed peas and beans...the breeze on my face...picking red rasberries...summer rain storms...

Oh the delights of summertime -- and being at Grandpa and Grandma's house!

The biggest thing I miss this year! Thanks for the sweet post! Cherish your time with your grandparents. Don't take one moment for granted!

That picture is so cool, by the way! You're so talented :).

You know, I am coming to realize how very special those little things really are, more and more as time goes on...
We really have nothing to complain about yet, but poor, innocent Lebanese children, so far, are 1/3 of the casualties in the war going on over there. The news is so horrific!

We are so blessed by God, and we ought to thank Him for it!!!

My model?!

One the joys of being in a large family is that most of my models live with me!! This particular picture is of Elizabeth picking peas one afternoon. Nothing posed, just life as it happends. (And personally, those are my favorite photos!)

Ah, the joys, delights, and special moments of being with grandparents. There is just nothing quite like it in all the world! What a treasure that you get this whole week there. Isn't God good?!

Thanks for being the model Elizabeth. The picture is so neat! Of course, that's because the person in it, and taking it are sooo special!:)

Have a wonderful rest of your time at your grandparents, and savor each moment. Which I know you are already doing!

Love, hugs, and prayers dear sis's!

This post brings back many memories of years gone by - years I will never have again - in the garden, in the pasture, in the barn at Grandpa and Grandma's. Grandma, now a widow, sold the farm several months ago and moved into an apartment. It has been hard, because as an MK, Grandma's was the only place in the world I felt like I was home But
"This world is not my home, I'm just passing through" to my eternal home with Jesus our Savior and God our Father.

Oh the delights of summertime -- and being at Grandpa and Grandma's house! May you taste in that a foretaste of heaven.

Jesus is coming again.
