Okay ya'll -- I have a question. Why do some posts get lots of comments, and others none at all?! We've wondered about this phenomena for some time both on this and our family blog. We enjoy hearing from you!

Just curious -- and feeling inquisitive tonight!

Ah, I think it's just part of being a blogger...at least that's my comfort theory. LOL Actually, I suppose it depends on the reader and their mood, what kind of time they have, and the content of the post. Some posts, for whatever reason, just inspire more interest and comments. And sometimes (I've been guilty of this myself) people will read posts and think they're great and are encouraged by them, but they don't want to take the time to comment or can't think of the right words to say.

I don't know if that really made sense, but anyway, that was my thought. ;-)

why do some people step on that flower growing in the sidewalk. Sometimes the eyes, heart and the hands are just in different places

I have wondered much the same thing about my two blogs. There does not seem to be any formula for a kind of post that inspires comments, as I have tried to find patterns to try to get more comments and it never works. :-) It just depends on how much time the reader has and if s/he can think of anything to say. I have over 85 blogs bookmarked so while I read everything that each person writes, I usually only find time to comment on about five blogs per session.

Hello Bethany! I like your blog! =)
You have a really neat family... we saw you singing in Westby, Wisconsin, near where we live.=) May the Lord richly bless you and yours...

I would agree with Hannah for the most part. I really enjoy reading yours and the families journal. Also, I think that your photography is very beautiful and amazing. God bless you all,

I know what you mean... I've wondered that myself on my own blog... "why in the world does this one have 20-some comments on it, and it wasn't even all that good whereas the one I put a lot of effort into has few if any..."

I guess Hannah summed it up the best. I think it makes blogging interesting ;o). It's fun to figure out what the reader likes.

I love your blog by the way, so I'm afraid you'll be seeing my comments more than you may want to ;o). You do such a great job at combining spirituality and pictures... It's so beautiful and professional! If you have any helpful tips, I could handle a few! ;o) LOL!

Thanks for your input everyone! I enjoyed reading what you all thought.

Hannah - you summed it up very well and made perfect sense. And I guess today was my day to be one of your lucky five, eh Joel?
Brittleigh -- I don't think you can possible comment to much; comments and feed back is always appreciated. :)

And if any of you have questions or input of what type of posts you would like to see more of, please let me know!

God's blessings to you all!

I think for me there are two words that sum up commenting, or not commenting. TIME, and DIAL-UP!!=) I really would love to leave a comment on every single post, but as the above states it is challenging.:o) So please know that even if my comment doesn't show up, I'm cheering you on from the side lines!

Truly, your blog has not only inspired me to serve the Lord more whole-heartedly, but been timely in situations more times than I can count! Keep up the good work sister, knowing that your labor is not in vain, in the Lord!

Love ya!

Keep up what you're already doing -- pictures and thoughtful/devotional messages.
