baby expressions

I CAN still call her my baby, can't I? Even though she is getting so big and developing her own personality and becoming such a sweet and spunky little girl? {grin}

Arianna has been a quick learner in picking up the little bit of sign language I have been doing with her.

Occasionally she'll be sitting in her high chair with sweet potatoes and yogurt smeared all over her face and those big blue eyes will look up at me and she'll sign "thank you" without any prompting. Talk about a little heart-melting-moment!

She was enjoying a snack of cheerios the other day after her nap and I couldn't help but smile at her antics.

She very carefully picks up a cheerio and bites it in two before eating it.

  (I don't think she likes the fact that her bowl is empty!)

"Maybe if I take my bowl to Mommy she'll give me more!"

phone+camera

Where does time go? Not only has it been several weeks since I've posted, but I was organizing pictures this afternoon and was amazed at how little my baby used to be.

I think that is one of the things I love about pictures -- how it freezes a moment in time. While visiting my grandparents a few weekends ago, Grandma pulled out a box of black and white pictures of when she and Grandpa were young and when Mommy was a little girl. Precious to see!

Now my phone camera definitely isn't the best quality, but I recently read that"the best camera is the one you have with you."  And since my phone is usually within reach, it has captured a few highlights from the past few weeks that you won't find on my 'big' camera (and yes, most of them revolve around the cutest baby girl who just happens to live at my house!)
{grin}

Blue eyes. Brown eyes.
