The view from my window

...and beyond!!
We received around 30 inches of snow last weekend...and had a blast! Getting snowed in, sipping hot chocolate and playing games; we had a marvelous time!

(The little speck showing is the rear view mirror of a car...)
I have never seen so much snow come in one storm!

Now the sun is shining, the snow is beginning to melt, and people are digging themselves out.

The snow covered countryside!

And yes, we had to get out and play in it a little bit...

Wow! I am so glad you posted the pictures. I've been watching the weather reports and wondered how much of it affected you. Now I know. You really got a whole lot of snow, but you are both OK. I hope you didn't have to drive in it. Hopefully, it will melt soon. Love, Aunt D

Wow, I think you have more snow than we have in ND. At least our vehicles aren't buried. Looks like a good time for a snowball fight and building snowmen too.

WOW! That is an incredible amount of snow! But it is so lovely. It makes me think of what our hearts look like to God after He has washed them clean with the precious blood of His Son!

Glad you and Dan are able to enjoy it. You guys have fun!

Wow!! 30 inches of snow, that sounds like a lot! I live in NY so I am used to snow but I don't think that I have ever experienced so much all at one time.=)
How fun that must have been to go outside and dig into. You live in Nebraska right? Is that your normal winter weather? Well, have fun and thanks for posting!=)

@the Brockett Bunch: I used to live in Nebraska, but after getting married, I moved to Virginia. They've never seen snow like this in their state!

@ anonymous: The picture is a self portrait! Having a timer on my camera works wonderful!! :)

@ Jerry: typically Virginia isn't near as windy, but yesterday we got another 12 inches of snow and the wind was extremely fierce. Made me thankful for a very cozy house to keep me warm!

Fun! Over here in KY we only got about 5 inches. Must have been fun to be snowed in! Great picture of you 2. :)
