...and I just can't stop smiling...
Where I can post my thoughts, my photographs, and what the Lord is teaching me. May it be a blessing to you, and help you meditate on that which is pure and lovely. "Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8
I've been expanding my photography experiences again lately, this time photographing food!! A friend of ours is opening up a bakery in Branson, MO, and needed pictures of his rolls that he is selling -- so Dad and I flew down to spend a day or two in Branson so I could take pictures of them.
...and some pretty special father/daughter time!
"Let Your work appear to Your servants,
And Your glory to their children.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands."
While our family was in Orlando last month, the timing worked out to do a photo-shoot for one of my blog readers! Though Katie and I had briefly met last year, it was fun getting a chance to visit with her and hear how the Lord is directing her life (as we walked all over the park snapping her senior pictures...)
(I know, I know -- I'm a few weeks behind in posting these!)
(...someone must've said something funny!)
Having a two year old in the house is such a delight! I am amazed at how much Charissa is learning -- she is like a little sponge, just soaking up information.
Counting our fingers and toes, helping set the table, reading books and finding letters of the alphabet that she knows, putting new words in sentences, singing action songs together, painting our toe-nails, helping me roll out pizza dough...what a joy to watch her learn and spend time together!
The other day I asked her if she wanted to play with her 'little people' (her favorite toys right now). She hesitantly looked up at me and said, "No."
"Would you like to help me do laundry?" I asked. Her little face totally lit up -- "YES!" It was so sweet.
Love you, little sis!!
The kind of assignments God gives are always God-sized. They are always beyond what people can do because He wants to demonstrate His nature, His strength, His provision to a watching world. That is the only way the world will come to know Him.

If someone looked at my life to observe how I spend my time,
in what place would they see the Word of God occupy?
