My heart is overflowing...

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!"
2 Corinthians 9:15

God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame.

John 14:21

"He who has My commandments and keeps them,
it is he who loves Me.
And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father,
and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

The great of the kingdom have been those who
loved God
more than the others did.

CinnaRolls

I've been expanding my photography experiences again lately, this time photographing food!! A friend of ours is opening up a bakery in Branson, MO, and needed pictures of his rolls that he is selling -- so Dad and I flew down to spend a day or two in Branson so I could take pictures of them.

:: cinnamon ::

:: poppyseed ::

:: carmel ::

:: oh, the choices! ::

We had gorgeous flying weather...as many rolls as we could possibly eat (believe me, they are good. I have no idea which one is my favorite!)

...and some pretty special father/daughter time!

Psalms 90:16-17

"Let Your work appear to Your servants,
And Your glory to their children.
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands."

I used to ask God to help me.
Then I asked if I might help Him.
I ended up by asking Him to do His work through me.

Daddy and I were flying last weekend (he is such a good pilot!) and we took the opportunity to buzz over our house to take an arial picture of our home.
Everything is so brown still, but what a joy to begin seeing signs of spring!

Katie

While our family was in Orlando last month, the timing worked out to do a photo-shoot for one of my blog readers! Though Katie and I had briefly met last year, it was fun getting a chance to visit with her and hear how the Lord is directing her life (as we walked all over the park snapping her senior pictures...)

(I know, I know -- I'm a few weeks behind in posting these!)

(...someone must've said something funny!)

Congratulations as you graduate, Katie!

My lil' helper

Having a two year old in the house is such a delight! I am amazed at how much Charissa is learning -- she is like a little sponge, just soaking up information.

Counting our fingers and toes, helping set the table, reading books and finding letters of the alphabet that she knows, putting new words in sentences, singing action songs together, painting our toe-nails, helping me roll out pizza dough...what a joy to watch her learn and spend time together!

The other day I asked her if she wanted to play with her 'little people' (her favorite toys right now). She hesitantly looked up at me and said, "No."

"Would you like to help me do laundry?" I asked. Her little face totally lit up -- "YES!" It was so sweet.

Love you, little sis!!

Home again!

The past few days have been filled with unpacking, catching up on laundry, getting used to the cold northern weather [smile] , and catching up with friends here at home!

I have so much I could blog about, but for now -- this quick update will have to suffice. I keep thinking that one of these days I'll be more consistent at updating, but life takes time!

I've been praying about changing the verse on my header...and am excited about the verse the Lord gave me. But as to what it is or why -- well, you'll have to wait until I have time to compile my thoughts and type them up.

Thank you for your patience and encouraging comments -- I always love hearing from you!

(And a big thank you to Josiah and Abi -- who welcomed us home with these cheery sunflowers on our table! Love you, two!!)

Joshua 4:24

"...that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever."

The kind of assignments God gives are always God-sized. They are always beyond what people can do because He wants to demonstrate His nature, His strength, His provision to a watching world. That is the only way the world will come to know Him.

Psalms 119:14-16

"I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimiones,
as much as in all riches.
I will meditate on Your precepts,
and contemplate Your ways.
I will delight myself in Your statutes..."

If someone looked at my life to observe how I spend my time,
in what place would they see the Word of God occupy?
