A month from today...

I will be boarding a plane -- headed to CHINA!!

Through some amazing turn of events, my sister Rachel and I will be going over with two other friends for seven weeks to teach English. The Lord has already confirmed it over and over again, as well as answering so many prayers and needs; it has been incredible to see and be a part of!

My visa came two days ago...

I have heard that blogs and the whole blogger website is not allowed in China, so I doubt I'll be updating here for the seven weeks I am over there, but believe me -- I will be taking pictures and posting updates upon my return to the United States!! [grin]

I am so thrilled for you, Bethany! I know with the Lord's grace you will do a wonderful job and grow much through your time there. Only sad part is I won't get to see you in August...*sniff* *sniff*. It's for a good cause though! Blessings and hugs to you!

I'm also really excited for you and Rachel, I hope that your time is really blessed! I will be praying for you, what an amazing experience! God's plan is always so much bigger than ours, I don't think we can even begin to imagine what He has in store for you, or the ways that He can use you! Or any of us for that matter! With Love, Sara

Wow! I will keep you in my prayers! I'll look forward to your report when you return.

This is almost strange though, that I have been reading of another young lady who just arrived in China where she will be staying for more than a year to learn the language in preparation for mission work. You can read her blog here, though she won't be posting longer. http://lajiemarie.wordpress.com/

Blessed ones! My family and I will be praying for you and Rachel as you sow the most important seed of all.

Will you teach us some Mandarin words when you come back?

Yep, That's what the Chinese visa looks like! All our guys have been there too!
May the Lord watch and keep you, and return you home safely. May His face shine on and through you as you minister to those whom He already has waiting on the Chinese side for your special touch.
Bless you!

By the way, have you decifered the post we left on your dad's birthday blog yet? We wrote it in Chinese for your enjoyment!

Hello, I'm a stranger to you, but good friends of Courtney and Toby Nelson, and found out about your family through them.

I have a good friend teaching English in China right now. (Actually coming back on the 30th of June) Yes, blogger is blocked, most of the time, but you still can blog if you set up blogging by email. (under the "email" tab in settings) Just regular posts are very simple, but posting pictures is much more challenging. (Not impossible, but quite tricky) It is much easier to email pictures to a willing friend/sibling who can post them for you. China does block some emails as well, sometimes pictures, but normally only those with censored words. That has been our experience with China. Hopefully this has been helpful!

May God bless you as you serve in that Southeast-Asian country that starts with "Ch" and ends with an "ina".
