John 14:23

"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word."

Could God find heart and time to pen and send this love-letter to thee, and thou find none to read and peruse it! The sick man no time to look on his physician's prescription! The condemned malefactor to look on his prince's letter of grace, wherein a pardoned is signed!

-William Gurnall

"Whoever keeps His Word,
truly the love of God is perfected in him.

By this we know that we are in Him."

1 John 2:5

So True! Does the Bride not long and live for every word of the Groom! Does she not long to grow every moment closer to Him!? And yet we have forgotten Him days without number!
Thank you for sharing this! Now I'm going to go read a few love letters!

Oh, AMEN!
I like the illustration when witnessing to the lost of how when we fail to read the beautiful words of power and truth that have been given to us straight from the Divine Hand of Almighty God, it grieves Him more than if we had a beloved friend who we wrote out 66 LONG letters to, and sent, and they received them but NEVER read them...! We would be so hurt and even a little angry. Undoubtedly, even someone who is a hardened soul and cares nothing for God is touched by this example, and can relate to some extent.

Thanks, Bethany, and may the Lord BLESS you! :)

What a good reminder and challenge!Oh, to have a heart that will as eagerly turn to God's letter to us--His word, as we do to read other things. Thank you for sharing it, dear Bethany! Missing you...much love and hugs! :)

Dear Bethany,

Just wanted you to know that I check your blog every morning for its inspirational words and encouragement. I'm currently deployed overseas and it's a real lift to my spirit to see such a wonderful American Family like yours. Americans like YOUR FAMILY and your way of life is why we're over here. God Bless America.

How true.
So many lies have deluded today's church, saying that we can not overcome.
The TRUTH is: We can live our lives without sinning. By God's power working in us, and through us. God is not a liar, He would not command us to obey when He knew we could not. =)Thanks for the word of truth.(1Jn.2:6 "The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.") =) Blessings! From a daughter of God.=)
