Rejoicing in His love

Through the years a young girl prays for her husband to be,
She prays that God will reveal Himself, and set His spirit free.

To love, believe, and walk with God, His Spirit to obey,
She asks that Truth will be his guide and keep him for her someday.

Now she's rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above.
The one for whom she's prayed and dreamed is here for her to love.

She knows now who God's given to her, that she might understand
The love of Christ for His own bride -- she's rejoicing in God's plan.

At the same time a young man asks that God will give to him a wife;
A woman pure, who loves the Lord, a friendship made for life!

He hopes that she will love God's Word and often that she'll pray;
For Jesus Christ to be her life and then turn her heart his way.
Now he's rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above.
The one for whom he's prayed and dreamed is here for him to love.

He knows now who God's given to him, that he might understand,
The love of Christ for His own bride -- he's rejoicing in God's plan.

Today they come to unite their hearts as one in Jesus name;
They'll give their hearts, their lives, their love; a ring to seal the same.

What once was two shall become one, that the world might see again
A testimony of the love of Christ between a woman and a man.

Now they're rejoicing in His love as it flows from God above.
The one's for whom they've prayed and dreamed are here for them to love.

They know now who God's given to them, that they might understand,
The love of Christ for His own bride -- they're rejoicing in God's plan.

Absolutely beautiful pictures. Wonderful job.

And the poem! Guys are not supposed to get emotional and all that, but that poem is really touching. There is so much outward truth in it but an even much deeper spiritual truth.

Congratulations to you and Rachel. (And of course to the young couple, whom I don't know. But they look so nice together.)

I knew you would do a wonderful job, Bethany! Very well done! The poem was very, very touching. I appreciated that a lot. Prayer and waiting on the Lord are two of the foundations to a godly marriage. Caleb and Abby's life reflects that!! Thanks for sharing!

The pictures look very lovely! It is encouraging to see pure looking young couples!
I was curious if you could tell me the age of the bride. I know that sounds like a strange question, but I am 17 and became betrothed at 16. Lord willing, I'll be wed in spring(prayerfully while still 17). Abby looks like a very young bride and I was just curious about what time of life she was blessed with marriage.
Once again, the pictures look wonderful!!!!! The Lord has given you a great gift!

To answer the questions:

The words posted are a song that Caleb and Abby sang during the wedding ceremony. Though I am acquainted with Norm Wakefield, we do not have his CD. Sounds like it is a good one, though!

And Abby, the bride, is 19 years old.

God answered so many prayers throughout the day -- thank you again so much for praying! God bless you all!

Even though I got to tell you in person, I'll tell you again: you did a great job with the photography! I like the song, too. I've never heard it, but the words are great!
It was nice seeing you for the short moment yesterday! Call me when you're in the area again and let me know if you have time to stop by for a little longer. :)

Oh, Bethany! The mother of the bride is very pleased with the photos! You are very creative just like your God! I know how important it was to C&A to have you do the photography...they did everything they could to find a wedding date when you could take the pictures. Thank you for taking the extra effort of flying in to make it work out. We REALLY appreciate it. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. Now the problem will be which ones to choose since there are so many good ones...Thank you again. My heart overflows with thanksgiving to God for His mercy.

I have been admiring your photgraphy from afar and have never left a comment until now, but I feel compelled to let you know how much this post has touched me. The words were so beautiful interspersed with your lovely photographs from this wedding. I found your blog link on Biblical Womanhood and have been impacted by your life and ministry.

I am in the process (as a stay-at-home mom of three) of developing my abilities as a "professional" photographer. I am just starting out and would welcome all of your advice about this since I don't have a mentor.

You can reach me at ImagesbyGina@aol.com

Blessings to you and your sweet family as well.

You don't know me, but I've been lurking on your site for a few years now. I was just browsing through some of your older posts and something about this one caught my eye...
Notice the group shot with the whole bridal party--everyone's looking inward toward Caleb and Abby except Dan. Dan is looking straight into the camera. :)
