In training

Child, it is not as much what happens, but how we take it that is important. God is watching to see whether we allow the problems to defeat us, or whether we will go through them in His strength, being made stronger for the next problem and ultimately for the final end battle.

Everything that happens to us in life is training for the work we will do next.

Great quote! I'm not usually of fan of quotations and the likes, but this one was right on the money. Corrie ten Boom knew what she was talking about if anybody did!

Thanks & keep blogging.

Peace. --Jacob

Like Bryant said, Corrie ten Boom quotes are very profound! Only a perspective like that could keep her sane and rich in her relationship with her Father through the horrors of the Nazi prison camps. Thank you so much for sharing. I never tire of Corrie ten Boom!

Oh Bethany! This was right on, and right when I needed it! "God is watching to see whether we allow the problems to defeat us, or whether we will go through them in His strength"...so true! May we keep His perspective ever before us!!

Thank you for being 'in tune' with the Savior, so I could be blessed!

Missin' you! HUGS!!!

BTW--Darling picture! :)

Wow! That is so profound! What we do with the circumstances God brings our way has everything to do with our growth as a Christian!

I also wanted to mention that your "books I'm reading" on your sidebar was a blessing! I've been so challenged lately by the quote you've posted by C.T.B. that I ordered "Life Lessons from the Hiding Place." I'd never heard of the book before, and thanks to your thoughtfulness, it's now sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be be read!!

((Hugs!!)) Keep shining for Jesus!

I love Corrie's quotes!!!! I have her one book "Don't Wrestle, Just Nestle" and it is sooooooooo good and encouraging. By the way, I absolutely *LOVE THAT PICTURE*. I have always loved deep shadows and stark contrasts in pictures, and streaks of sunlight like the ones on the ground. Great job! Great post! :)
