Caleb & Abby

This weekend I had the opportunity to take engagement pictures for some friends. When I woke up Thursday morning to pouring rain (knowing they wanted outdoor portraits!) it made for some excellent prayer time! The rain stopped by noon, things dried up, and by evening the weather was just beautiful -- perfect for picture taking. Isn't God good? I love seeing how he cares about the little details in life!

Here's a small sampling of the nights pictures:

Congratulations Caleb and Abby!

You've done it again, Bethany; great job! Caleb's a good friend of mine, and I'm really glad for him.

... Now why didn't he post these pictures on his own blog? :-D

Thanks for sharing them! Peace. --Jacob

My vote goes to pic #5- Makes me smile with them and for them. Abby won't be teaching at our Good News Club next year and when I told the kids I wouldn't be teaching either, one piped up "Are you getting married too?" Nope- just 4 long years of college!

Oh, you did a fabulous job, Bethany!!! I thought of and prayed for you much that day... it poured with rain here, and so I wondered how the outdoor photography would turn out for you... it looks like it worked out just splendidly!!! :)

{I knew you could do it! ;)}

Really sweet couple... ;)

Hello,

came across your site and notice the wonderful work. do you mind letting us know what type of camera you use.

I notice on the black and white photo with the daisy in the middle the male subject seen to be in high contrast while the female subject seen be in low contrast. was the picture post process or was she wearing makeup?

sorry to be so technical but your work is very good. keep it up! The Lord has blessed you with a special talent.

Hey R.P.

My camera is a Nikon D70 -- I have owned, used, and loved it for a little over two years now. So fun!

In the picture you mentioned the bride-to-be is wearing a little makeup, though the picture was not processed digitally in any way. I hope that answers your questions!

Hi Bethany,
Just stumbled across your site--I see you will be taking photos of a friends' wedding in Omaha the same day I'm getting married there! :) I wonder how far apart our wedding locations are. I enjoyed these engagement pics esp because that is where Rick proposed to me....it's one of my favorite places in Omaha. :)

I would like to ask you about using a few of your photos as illustrations for the YLCF blog...do you have an email address I could contact you through?
