No doubts

I know what I want --

"That I may KNOW Him... "

Oh, Bethany...!
Wow, how touching!!!
My heart's cry, as well!

With that as your ultimate desire and passion, you'll never go wrong... :-)

And I just LOVE that picture... those flowers are so sweet and delicate.

Precious Post!

What a refreshment your family's website and your blogspot have been to me! You don't me (I think!), but my sister attended a recent program by your family in Nebraska.

It is not often I get to see such a closely like-minded Christian outside of our (wonderful!) Church, especially with such similar standards, so getting to "know" :) your family has been an awesome encouragement.

Btw, my family and I were in Lincoln, Nebraska (we live in South Dakota) for 7 months last year, so we could've run in to each other! :)

A wonderful quote. And picture. Probably an unusual question, but was there any reason you decided to combine the black and white picture with this quote? (Just curious. If I am catching you off guard with this one, just consider it rhetorical.)

I've noticed when you use black and white you seem to choose the subjects and effects wisely. I love color (Light and color was one of my favorite areas to teach in physics), but still find b/w to be an effective medium for some subjects and ideas. The picture you used earlier with your harp is very striking.

By the way, the little joke on your family's site about guys shopping for clothes. It was probably greatly exaggerated. I'm sure most guys would rather not spend anywhere near 15 minutes clothes shopping :) Now power tools............

Prayers always,

Richard, your Old Threshers Friend (Do you still need the OTF? I haven't noticed any other Richards on your site.)

Hey Richard -- no, I didn't have any specific reason for putting a B&W picture with this quote, except that I personally liked the look of this picture in B&W!

And I think your right about being the only Richard who you could probably drop the OTF! Thank you for your prayers -- and many blessings to you, too!

Amen! Thanks, Bethany!
That is one of my favorite verses... Although a very serious one. I often wonder what I am truly asking for when I pray for the things in that verse; I have to think of the time when the mother of the sons of Zebedee asked Jesus if they could sit on his right and his left in glory...“But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.” –Matthew 20:22
Little did they know what they were asking for...
"...the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death..."
Thanks again, and may God richly bless you!

Psalms 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

Jon 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Oh the joy and wonder that He would have us know Him and that He would call us His own.
