Open door

"See, I have set before you an open door,
and no one can shut it..."
Revelations 3:8

An open door -- where does it lead?
What does this year hold?
What does God want to do with my life?

There it is -- the open door.
No one can shut it.
No one can hinder God's will for my life,
except me.
Will I walk through the door?
Are the steps I am taking today leading me through the door?
Or farther from it?

This next year seems to hold so many possibilities!
Maybe it'll be drastically different.
Maybe it'll be very similar to last year -- I don't know!

But I do know that I want to walk through that door.

"No one can hinder God's will formy life except me." -- that is SO good!! The picture--it looks like the tabernacle, but it certainly isn't the view from the Tabernacle! Am I just imagining things or did you digitally put in the beautiful view in there? From: Confused.?

By the way, our dog, Suzy, had four black lab puppies tonight -- two girls and two boys. My dad predicts that there will be two more...we will see!

Hi Bethany, Thank you for commenting on my blog! It is exciting thinking about what this coming year will hold, especially looking back at what God has done last year. Oh the possibilities. :-)

Those are wonderful, challenging thoughts. There are so many things that can head us off in the wrong direction. It is so important to keep our eyes on Jesus. Thank you for the reminder Bethany!

Love you

Okay, I know where that picture is taken--but I know...that, that is not the view looking in through those doors!:) Maybe you are trying to make the point that God's perspective is sometimes different than ours?! Or maybe...you used your photo program to alter a few things??

Anyways, thank you for the stirring post! I was challenged to examine my heart to see if I am opening my door to my Savior's will and plan!

I love ya!
(Take a guess:)

I couldn't believe when I saw the date and content of this! Just when I need it, I think... time will only tell what God's plan holds! I am sooo excited to serve The One who knows and understands it all! :)
I was stirred by the bit about hindering God's will - I want to please Him completely with my life - now and forever!!!
Thanks sooo much!!!
