"On this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit..."
(Isaiah 66:2)
Humility -- the minute you think you've got it, you've lost it!

If monotony tries me, and I cannot stand drudgery:
If people fret me and the little things of life set me on edge;
If I make much of the trifles of life,
Then I know nothing of Calvary's love.

Anxiety springs from the desire that things should happen
as we wish -- rather than as God wills.

"He will show you the path of life.
In HIS prescence is fullness of joy."
Psalms 16

Our family is taking off to South Carolina and Florida for ministry this next month, so I probably won't be able to update for a while. In the meantime, just remember:
Life is made up of ordinary days.
It's how you live your ordinary days that makes the differance.

Little Things

If you haven't figured it out by now, I love little sayings that say and mean alot, but don't take lots of words to say it! The other day I ran across
"He who prizes little things is worthy of great ones."

Hmm...little things. Everywhere. All around us. Everyday. But do I see the beauty in them? Or am I so busy that I don't even realize they are there? It is little, everyday things that make up life: a friendship, a smile, a hug, a flower, a sunset, a good laugh, an answered prayer, a song -- LIFE! Yet how often I miss the blessing of them because I'm to busy to stop and thank God for them.

What are some "little things" that you are thankful for today?

My greatest security in life is His love for me.
NOTHING can take that away.

Simple.
True.
Forever!

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
This is my verse for the day from my devotional time in God's Word this morning. How many different people can I give to today? And how many different ways is there to give? Time. Gifts. Praise. Love. A smile. A helping hand. It doesn't have to be big - just having the attitude of living for others instead of myself makes such a differance. Being a giver means more than having big fancy presents for everyone, rather it is an attitude of the heart - joyfully serving those I love, giving of myself for them.

So...did I take the time today to let someone know,
rather than just guess, that I care?
