"Many Biggers"

As I was catching up in my journal, I noticed my little six year old sister busy writing and coloring.

"Who is your card for Alaythia?"

"My best friend," she replied.

"Your best friend?! And who is your best friend?" I asked.

And with a little imp-ish grin she replied, "I'm not tellin'."

Tonight as I prepared for bed, I noticed something new pinned on the bulliten board in our room:

In our family (and especially with our grandparents) we have this thing of saying "I love you," and "I love you bigger."

I love you many biggers, too, Alaythia!

Ah, aren't sisters sweet! That sounds just like something one of my sisters would do. There are certainly many joys of big-sisterhood!

How sweet! Sisters are such wonderful blessings from God. I should know! With six of us girls it gets a little silly sometimes! :D
God bless!

That is absolutely the most precious little story. I'm so glad you shared it with us.

I must confess that it reminded me of a joke my husband likes to tell the children:

Q. Who was larger? Mrs. Bigger or Mrs. Bigger's baby?

A. Mrs. Bigger's baby....he was a little bigger.

OK, well, my kids get a giggle from it. LOL

How precious! That is one of those KEEPER'S. You know, it takes Alaythia having a best friend to be one. It says something about what you've invested in her life!

Such a simple, but profound post!

Lovin'!

How sweet! In our family we say, "I love you more." We have a lot of variations for it too.

Bethany, that is so sweet. Things like that make all the work that comes with being in a big family so worth it. You can't replace those kinds of moments. And it also reflects the time you put into your family. May God bless you for being there for your sisters:-) Blessings!

That's so cute! (sorry to sound so redundant... but after twelve comments, how can you have a chance at being original?!) :)
in our house, it's "i love you all the way to the moon and back!" if you've not read the book 'guess how much i love you'(which is where that originates from), you need to hustle over to the nearest book store and do so! such a family classic!
