James 1:4

"Let patience have her perfect work,
that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

God might not work by your clock. He works in His time and even though it would seem He does nothing, He is either testing us or waiting for the perfect time to intervene so you will realize it was not you who did it, it was your Heavenly Father who let you do it.

Ah, so true. Pretty picture also.

Ah, I thought of something else while re-reading your post. I recently heard a country song and it had a line that went something like this "sometimes God's greatest blessings to us are unanswered prayers", I had never really thought much about it in that way before...

Oh Bethany!

Once again your post was so timely! You see--I've been struggling with accepting God's time with a rash I have on my fingers. I know in my head that He is testing me to see if I really will trust Him, but it hasn't quite made it to my heart yet! What a great reminder to know that He is only waiting on me to intervene, so that I will know it was ALL Him!

His blessings to you for being sensitive to His leading. Thank you for the encouragement!:)

Love you!

PS-How in the world did you take that picture? It is soooo neat!!

So good to hear from you Abi! I'm praying for you and your rash -- such a little thing to learn a big lesson.

About the picture...isn't God's creation beautiful?! I actually took the picture this spring, but yesterday Daddy bought a printer and it came with a free photo editing program! So having fun with that this afternoon, I discovered the neat 'border' effect. Digital -- gotta' like it! :D

Hugs to you!

Oh! This is fun, responding via blog! Yes, I'm amazed to think that God can take such a little thing(in a sense), and teach SO many lessons! Thank you for the prayers, they are much appreciated.

Thank your dad as well for buying a new printer. What beautiful effects the new program gives...can't wait to see how else you play around!!:) And yes, we do serve an Awesome Creator with unlimted creativity!

Love to you, Bethany!

Bethany -
Great thought! Great verse!
Thanks for posting this... I am in the middle of an ongoing lesson that God is trying to teach me... it's that whole thing of letting patience have her perfect work.
I want to share two verses that I read this morning that seem to fit this thought:
"For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work. I will triumph in the works of thy hands. Oh, Lord, how great are thy works! And thy thoughts are very deep." Ps. 92: 4,5
God is working out a plan in each of our lives and we need to back up and let Him have total control... how much further along would we be in our spiritual walks if we could really get a hold of that concept! But like Abi said, it's there in my head, but not quite totally in my heart... I am thankful that God knows what I am made of and is always so patient as I seem to have to lay these things on the altar, again, and again, and again! :)
We have to just keep walking forward though! He is faithful!
Love Ya~
Nicole
PS. Sorry this turned into an epistle! :)
