"Love envieth not."
This is love in competition with others. Whenever you attempt a good work you will find other men doing the same kind of work, and probably doing it better. Envy them not. Envy is a feeling of ill-will, a spirit of covetousness and detraction to those who are in the same live as ourselves.
Part 4 of 9

That was a very good and encouraging reminder, Bethany!
You are so right...

The Lord only desires that each of us do our very best to serve Him with our whole hearts, never mind what others are doing, and how they are doing it!

The Bible says that we are not wise if we compare ourselves to others!:-)

We are each uniquely gifted, and they are gifts which are given to us by God, to use for His glory!:-)

God bless you!!!

Envy can be a sneaky evil. It is good to keep a tight watch on your heart! Thanks for posting on this, Bethany!

Bethany, this is so true. I've seen so many times how brothers and sisters in Christ become envious of another's performance in their Christian tasks instead of praising and encouraging one another, and it has caused strife among the brethern. It's very sad when that happens. I've really enjoyed these posts and the pictures are so nice.

Wow, that's really good. I'm always amazed at how the shortest reminders are often the most thought-provoking ones. It's all too easy to let envy slip in like that.

Btw, it was great to see you last night, Bethany! I had a lot of fun and was blessed by the time spent visiting with you and your sisters! Thanks for the wonderful evening! ((hugs))
