Ragnar & Angela

And this is one of those days when I am wondering why I have a blog...as I'm having a hard time getting the pictures to download ! I'm not sure why...I've never struggled with this before. I had hoped to get these posted earlier today, but it didn't happen. Anyway, with much sweat and patience, I think I
f-i-n-a-l-l-y got all the pictures downloaded for you to see! And you all had better comment and make it worth it! (grin)

This weekend I was able to take some friends' engagement photos.

"I've never taken engagement pictures before," I told them as we headed out.

"You know, I've never had my engagement pictures taken, either!" they both turned to each other and laughed.

So we learned together, and this is a sampling of what we got:

Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, I prayed specifically for a beautiful sunset, and that everything would work out perfect with the details of timing and the like. As you can tell by the silhouette photos, God answered those prayers above and beyond what I had imagined!

They have asked me to do their wedding photos come September 9th. I have never done a wedding either, so I would greatly appreciate your prayers as I study and prepare throughout the summer.

Stay tuned as I continue to venture into this new area of learning!

All I can say is, wow! And you did all that in SEWARD?? I love the one by the water especially... looks like a white sandy beach pose but I'm sure all it was was a dirty little lake. :) You did a really great job!!

I'm sure you'll do great on the wedding pics too, btw. :)

Wow! Bethany! God has sure given you a talent!!! You capture the moment so well! So many good ones! Though I have to say that the silhouette ones top the list. Especially the last one! Isn't God good?!?!

I also have to mention that somebody's creative juices were really flowing thick that night! So many great settings, and all in Seward? I'm a little jealous!:)

Keep up the good work! I'm sure as you commit it all to Him the wedding ones will fall in place too!

Love ya,
Abi

Hi Bethany - this is Hannah Michelle's mom from Ohio; we're friends of the Ulmers and met your family briefly at Lydia's wedding. Those pictures are wonderful!! I especially like the 2nd one and the sunset pictures also. Sept. 9th... that's our wedding day too... coming up on 28 years! I'm sure you'll do a great job on the wedding pictures!

Hi, Bethany.

I recognized Angela-- though I don't know if she even remembers me. I'd heard she was engaged; glad for her. Your photography is superb! I really enjoy it.

I do a little photography, but I'm nowhere near as serious as you are. A few of my photos are posted on my blog, if you'd like to see them.

Peace. --Jacob
