Psalms 119:160

And everyone of Your righteous judgments
endures forver."

The scriptures were given not to increase our knowldege,
but to change our lives.

I loved that D.L. Moody quote, Bethany! So true!

If we only increased our knowledge thru the scriptures(as is what would happen without the power of the Holy Spirit and a sactified life) we would really be "...ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the Truth..."

May we not keep the life-changing message of the Gospel to ourselves, but instead I pray that we would freely share it BOLDLY with the world!!!

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
Behold, the righteous shall be recommpensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner." Proverbs 11:30&31

That is very insightful, Bethany! Funny how a simple phrase can be so true and powerful.

Wow! How true! How challenging! I am so grateful that no matter how many times I read the same passage, or how often His truths come to mind, that they are always applicable, powerful, and life changing! What an awesome God we serve!:)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your constant willingness to share, and bless through your blog. What a RICH treasure it is, and you too!!

Reading in 'My utmost for His highest' the other day I thought of you. It said this, "The people who influence us the most are not those who detain us with their continual talk, but those who live their lives like the stars in the sky, and the lilies of the field--simply and unaffectedly. Those are the lives that mold and shape us."

Your life is like this. Your blog is like this. A simple, continual star--lily--blessing! A sweet fragrance, and a bright light to all that pass by!

Oh, just look at me, being one of those continual talkers, (eek!). I quess I had better get off then, so God can do some molding and shaping of me!

With my love,
Your sis

Dear Anonymous Sis (though I know who you are!!!)

Aww... your so sweet! I praise the Lord for His work in my life, and want to reflect all the glory to Him.

As a friend wrote in a letter to me the other day about receiving compliments... "I consider myself as a mirror; people look and see Jesus, but - for goodness sake, don't praise the mirror!"

I've been meditating on it ever since. It is so true! Don't praise the mirror; I am just trying to reflect His glory.

And don't worry about being a continual talker -- the world needs those, too! Especially ones like you who continually lift Jesus higher and encourage others. You bless and touch so many lives, including mine. Thank you.

Love and hugs sent your way!!

And to all my other faithful commenters -- I wish I had time to answer you all personally! But due to lack of time, I am not able to. Know that you are appreciated. It is exciting to blog and wonder what other insights you all will have to add.

God bless you all!

I love that quote by D.L. Moody! I had never heard it before, very true! A friend once said- One of the longest journeys in life is from the head to the heart!
